Eight protesters were arrested Tuesday evening during a demonstration organized by the Israeli Ethiopian community outside the national police headquarters in Jerusalem. Hundreds of demonstrators protested the decision to close the criminal investigation into the death of Yosef Salamsa, who committed suicide in 2014 after suffering alleged police abuse.
