Ahead of LGBT parade, court axes request for restraining orders for ‘dangerous’ activists

Tel Aviv police rescinded a number of restraining orders against people who they deemed could pose a threat to Friday’s upcoming LGBT pride parade, after a local court rejected the police appeal.

According to Channel, deliberations over the matter peaked on Wednesday night between the Tel Aviv Magistrate’s Court and Tel Aviv District Commander Moshe “Chico” Edri, who served as the Jerusalem district commander last year when religious extremist Yishai Schlissel stabbed several people, leading to the death of a teenage girl.
