Arbel Aloni, who murdered taxi driver Derek Roth, released from prison

Arbel Aloni, who was convicted of the murder of taxi driver Derek Roth, was freed from the Rimonim Prison on Wednesday morning after 21 and a half years in prison. Aloni, who murdered Roth along with Moshe Ben-Ivgi when the two were only 14 years old, was initially sentenced to 16 years imprisonment. During a furlough from prison, the two robbed an elderly woman and as a result sentenced to five more years. Aloni was sentenced to an additional 6 months for fraud. Ben-Ivgi is still serving his sentence.
