An Arab terrorist attempted a stabbing attack Thursday afternoon at the entrance to the Tel Rumeida neighborhood of Hevron in Judea.
According to initial reports, the terrorist tried to stab both a female civilian and an IDF soldier. The soldier responded quickly, firing into the air and driving away the terrorist.
The terrorist reportedly fled in the direction of Jabel ar Rahmah; IDF forces are conducting an extensive search to locate him.
The attempted stabbing in Hevron is the latest attack amid a surge of Arab terror in Israel over the last month.
Earlier on Thursday, two Arab terrorists moderately injured a young haredi man in a stabbing attack in Beit Shemesh.
The terrorists, 20-year-old residents of Surif near Hevron, were shot by security forces on the scene. One of the terrorists was killed and the other critically injured.
