According to initial reports an Arab terrorist attempted to stab soldiers stationed at the junction between Ramallah and Bet El, north of Jerusalem.
The terrorist was shot and injured by troops before he was able to reach them.
There were no injuries to IDF forces.
It is the third stabbing attack of the day.
Early Friday afternoon two terrorist were shot by alert border police officers at Tapuah Junction, further north in Samaria. The pair approached security forces on a motorbike and attempted to stab them, but were quickly eliminated before managing to cause any injuries.
One terrorist was killed while the other was hospitalized in critical condition.
Just a few hours later two people were wounded during a stabbing attack at a Jerusalem light rail station on Ammunition Hill.
One of the victims was stabbed and moderately wounded in his upper body, while the second was accidentally shot by security guards, who also shot and wounded the terrorist.
