Ayala Hasson leaves IBA for Channel 10

In a surprise move, veteran broadcaster Ayala Hasson has announced that she is leaving the Israel Broadcasting Authority, where she has worked for nearly quarter of a century and is taking up a senior position at Channel 10.

Hasson, 54, made history last August when she was appointed acting head of the news division of Channel 1, the first woman to ever reach the top of the channel’s news pyramid.

Hasson, one of the most influential of Israel’s political reporters, continued with most of her operations at the IBA, anchoring the Friday night weekly news and the Yoman current affairs diary as well as the popular long-running radio program Hakol Diburim (It’s all Talk) on Thursdays on Reshet Bet.
