Bill to circumvent Supreme Court ruling on non-Orthodox use of mikvas scheduled for a vote Sunday

Controversial legislation to circumvent a recent Supreme Court ruling granting access to public mikvaot (ritual baths) to the Reform and Conservative movements is set for a vote in the Ministerial Committee for Legislation on Sunday for subsequent passage to the Knesset.

According to political sources, there is a chance the vote will be postponed in order to reach a compromise on some issues, although it seems likely that the law will eventually make its way to the legislature.
