Border Police officer critically injured in car ramming succumbs to his wounds

A 19-year-old Border Police officer succumbed to his wounds on Sunday evening, days after he was critically wounded in a ramming attack near Hebron.

The Border Police named the officer as First Sergeant Benyamin Yakobovitch, adding that he leaves behind his parents, two sisters and a brother.

His family has decided to donate his organs, the Border Police said. Yakobovitch will be buried on Monday evening in the military section of the Kiryat Ata cemetery.
