British Foreign Office announces David Quarrey will be UK’s next ambassador to Israel

David Quarrey will replace Matthew Gould as the UK’s ambassador to Israel, the British Foreign Office announced Tuesday.

Quarrey, who currently serves as the Director for the Middle East and North Africa in the Foreign Office, is set to replace Gould, in July. Gould has served as British ambassador since 2010.

Quarrey once served as private secretary to former British Prime Minister Tony Blair.
