MK Yoni Chetboun, number two on the Yachad-Ha'am Itanu list, arrived Sunday to the traditional mock election event held at Bleich High School in Ramat Gan.
During the event, Chetboun, who served as an MK with Jewish Home in the 19th Knesset, attacked both the Zionist Camp (Labor-Hatnua's joint list) and Yesh Atid, as well as leftists in general.
"The Left is tired of this country. It's fed up. It's constantly pessimistic, it feels nothing is good here. It's fed up with the country," Chetboun addressed students.
"I have news for the Left," he argued, "you have no partner in this fatigue. The people of Israel love their country, they want it to have Jewish values, and they're not ashamed of it."
"The people of Israel are strong, and more than that, the State of Israel is strong, and we do not intend to break down and give in to the Arabs," he stressed.
"We in the Yachad party are bringing together, for the first time in the history of Israel, national religious Jews, haredim, and traditional Jews through our shared Jewish values," Chetboun continued.
"Anyone who flees from the Jewish values of the State of Israel will lose this country. We love our country, we want Jewish values in our country, and we're not ashamed of it."
Chetboun added that he saw "a lot of Zionist Camp and Yesh Atid flags, all with different kinds of colors. We have only one flag – blue and white, Star of David with two blue bands held high – that's our flag, that's Yachad's flag, and these are our values which we are not ashamed of."
The mock elections have attracted considerable attention, after accurately predicting election upsets prior to the last two general elections.
Chetboun's party received just 2% of students' votes, bottoming out the poll along with Yisrael Beytenu, but beating the haredi and Arab parties, which received 0%.
