Comptroller slams Knesset, President’s Office on overspending

State Comptroller Joseph Shapira on Tuesday issued a report slamming the Knesset and the President’s office for deficiencies in overspending in a range of areas.

He said that “especially now, during the elections period, public servants” must be more careful about even mundane issues such as overspending public funds.

Regarding the Knesset, the report criticizes overspending and lack of supervision in the two main areas of overpaying security guards and overextending their terms in working at the Knesset.
