Culture Ministry launches series of free events to mark end of summer vacation

The Culture and Sport Ministry announced its new “No-Worries August” events on Monday evening. From August 16 to August 27, it will sponsor a day of free activities in one of 20 different cities across the country.

The activities, geared toward the entire population – secular, religious and ultra-Orthodox Jews, as well as Arabs – will include sport programs, theater, music, dance, film, carnivals and more, and each day will end with a performance by artists such as Berry Shakharof, Shalom Hanoch, Ethnix, Shuli Rand, and others.

“The goal of the project is to facilitate families that have to invest heavily in order to find things with which to occupy their children during the summer months, and to allow them to experience different activities in the fields of culture and sport close their homes,” said Culture and Sport Minister Miri Regev.
