Dozens killed, hundreds wounded in exchange of fire in Damascus

Five people were killed and dozens were wounded on Wednesday during a barrage of rockets and mortars fired by Syrian rebels into residential areas of Damascus, pro-Syrian government media reported. At the same time, Al Jazeera reported that the military responded by bombing the city of Duma, a suburb of Damascus, killing at least 22 and wounding 120. Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif is due to arrive in the city later in the day after completing his visit to Lebanon.
