Early childhood caucus marks first meeting

MK Manuel Trajtenberg (Zionist Union) and chair of the Labor, Welfare, and Health Knesset Committee, MK Eli Alalouf (Kulanu) held the first meeting of the Knesset caucus that will deal with early childhood, in partnership with MK Orly Levy-Abecassis (Yisrael Beytenu) and MK Yifat Shasha-Biton (Kulanu) on Monday.

According to a report done at the request of Trajtenberg by the Knesset Center for Research and Information, there are currently four different government ministries that are involved in the lives of children in Israel, in addition to the local authorities, health funds, women’s organizations, and other various NGOs.

There is currently no coordination between the various bodies on the issue of early childhood.
