East Jerusalem Palestinian man sentenced to prison for Facebook incitement

For the second time this month, a Palestinian east Jerusalem resident convicted of using Facebook to incite violence against Jews has been sentenced to a year in prison.

On Wednesday, a Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court judge ordered Mohammad Abd al-Latif, 24, imprisoned for praising the Har Nof synagogue massacre that took the lives of four rabbis in November of 2014.

According to the court, al-Latif posted “A great morning thanks to knives,” and “Kill them, death to the settlers!” on his Facebook account following the bloody attack, which rattled the nation.
