Five dead in mass shooting in ‘quiet’ Pennsylvania suburb

Pittsburgh's WTAE Action 4 News reports that a gunman opened fire at around 11:00 p.m. local time at the 1300 block of Franklin Avenue in Wilkinsburg.

Reports indicate that five people have been declared dead, and at least four more wounded. Police have blocked off the street to both traffic and pedestrians.

One resident told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review shooting incident "sounded like a war".

Locals described the area as a "quiet neighborhood". The context of the shooting is unknown

Police have stated that they now believe multiple gunmen were involved in the incident.

No suspects have been taken into custody.
