Hamas chief Mashal meets with Turkey’s president

A Hamas delegation headed by Khaled Mashal has met with Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu in Ankara, Ynet learned on Thursday. The pair discussed political developments, the future of the Palestinian question, the situation in Gaza and in Jerusalem and the Hamas-PLO reconciliation process. A Hamas statement said the meeting was “positive and useful”, and that Davutoğlu emphasized that Turkey supports the Palestinian cause. Reports on Wednesday said the delegation had me Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, but Hamas denied this.
