Hap TA edges Rishon with late drama on Hadar’s debut

Rami Hadar’s tenure as the coach of Hapoel Tel Aviv got off to a winning start in the most dramatic of fashions on Saturday night. Hapoel edged Maccabi Rishon Lezion 87-86 on the road to improve to 7-6, with Alando Tucker scoring the go-ahead three-pointer from the corner with 1.2 seconds remaining.

Rishon thought it had won the game at the buzzer, but Maalik Wayns’s basket from mid-court ultimately didn’t count, with the officials ruling that he released the ball after time had expired.
