Hapoel Tel Aviv facing costly date in court

Hapoel Tel Aviv is set to drop to the bottom of the Premier League standings on Sunday, with nine points to be deducted from its total assuming the Tel Aviv District Court approves its request for a stay of legal proceedings due to debts estimated at over NIS 100 million.

Hapoel will fall to six points from 13 matches, five points from safety, with a court nominated trustee to try and reach agreements with the club’s many creditors, while looking for a new owner to replace Amir Kabiri as soon as possible.
