Croatia has let Hungary and the European Union down by failing to defend adequately the bloc’s external frontier, a Hungarian government spokesman said on Saturday, as another official said he saw no sign of the migrant flow slowing. “Croatia has let down not just Hungary but the EU and has given up on all legal commitments that bind it,” government spokesman Zoltan Kovacs told reporters. Croatia was “continuously” bringing migrants to Hungary’s border, he said. Croatia had sent some 8,000 migrants on Friday, senior security adviser Gyorgy Bakondi said at the same press conference in south-west Hungary. Like all other arrivals, they had been registered in line with EU law, he added.
