A brigadier general in the IDF has been suspended from his position for two weeks over an accusation that he committed a sexual crime.
Deputy Chief of Staff Yair Golan spoke with the officer, whose name has not been released, and informed him of the suspension.
Whether the general will return to his role will be decided based on the results of an investigation into the allegations.
According to the complaint, the general sexually harassed a subordinate four years ago.
This is the latest in a number of sexual harassment cases in the IDF and Israel Police over the past few months. Just last week, Army Radio suspended one of its journalists for allegedly sexually harassing two soldiers.
