Iran’s top diplomat tours Arab states following nuclear deal

Iran’s most senior diplomat has arrived in Kuwait at the start of a tour of nearby Arab states aimed at deepening ties following the conclusion of the Islamic Republic’s historic nuclear deal with world powers. Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif received a red carpet airport greeting Sunday from his Kuwaiti counterpart, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al Sabah. Zarif also is expected to visit Qatar and Iraq during his tour. Iranian state-linked media say he will brief officials on the nuclear accord and discuss ways to improve cooperation and fight terrorism.
