Israeli farmers protest government’s agriculture policies, water prices

Thousands of farmers from across the country convened in front of the Knesset Monday afternoon to protest high water costs, competing imported produce, and low profit margins after grocery chains exponentially jack up prices.

Daniel, a 36-year-old avocado and mango farmer from the Galilee, said he traveled to the demonstration at the Rose Garden after enduring years of what he deemed to be unfair commerce practices.
