Israeli fighter jets scramble after passenger plane diverts from flight path

Israeli jet fighters had to scrambled Saturday morning after a civilian aircraft diverted from its flight plan and "exceeded Israel airspace," according to Channel 10.

At least two fighter jets were order after an Air China plane leaving from Cairo to Tel Aviv altered its trajectory and exceeded Israeli air space during the course of its flight. The Air China flight had also failed to respond to communications, Channel 10 reported.
