Israel’s Attorney General: Compensate family of Eritrean who was lynched in Beer Sheva

Attorney General Yehuda Weinnstein has recommended to an internal legal and social security committee that the state compensate the family of Habtom Zerhom, the Eritrean was was lynched during a terrorist attack at Beer Sheva’s central bus station.

Because Zerhom entered Israel illegally he is not entitled to compensation under the law as a victim of terrorism. Nonethelss Weinstein believes his family is entitled to receive damages.
