Italian PM in Knesset: Supporters of ‘stupid’ boycotts betray their own future

Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi hailed ties between his country and Israel and railed against "stupid" boycotts in a speech to the Knesset Wednesday.

Renzi referred to his own excitement at visiting Jerusalem in what he called a "secular pilgrimage."

"People from around the world make pilgrimages to Jerusalem and pray for peace in it," Renzi said, "but it is not enough to pray for peace in Jerusalem; we must build peace."
