US Secretary of State John Kerry has been hospitalized in stable condition after being injured in a cycling accident near Scionzier in France, according to the US State Department.
According to AP, Kerry was airlifted by helicopter to a hospital in Geneva, Switzerland immediately after the accident, which took place in Haute-Savoie.
He reportedly suffered an injury to his leg.
"Secretary Kerry is stable and likely suffered a leg injury. He did not lose consciousness," spokesman John Kirby said.
