Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon (Kulanu) participated Monday morning in the grand opening of “Merkaz Harim” mall in the Gush Etzion junction in Judea.
After the festive occasion, Kahlon met with the heads of the Yesha Council and spoke to them about the security situation and budgetary issues.
During the meeting, the Minister of Finance was questioned on the completion of the 325 million shekel ($86 million) defense budget he promised with the formation of the government. Kahlon said, "I have a general rule: every promise I make – I fulfill.”
When asked if he intends to fight organizations like the BDS movement, Kahlon said, "I’ve said it before and I will say it again – any business or company affected by BDS will receive compensation. BDS cannot win.”
"Just as the residents of Gush Etzion do not let terrorism win, the State of Israel is strong enough to handle it. Any company that is hurt, we will stand by their side," the minister concluded.
