Security forces on Thursday caught the Arab terrorist who fled and has remained at large for half-a-year, after stabbing and seriously wounding 31-year-old Meir Pavlovsky last October 8 as he studied Torah in Kiryat Arba, Judea.
Initial reports from the attack indicated that the terrorist was a 15-year-old Arab. He fled in the direction of Hevron after using a ten-inch blade to stab Pavlovsky, a resident of Kiryat Arba.
Pavlovsky was sitting and studying Torah next to the Hazon David synagogue near the western gate of Kiryat Arba that connects to Hevron, when the terrorist snuck up on him and stabbed him in the stomach, then stabbed him in the back as he ran away.
Miraculously Pavlovsky survived his serious wounds, and was released from the hospital just ten days after the attack.
"When I arrived at the hospital, the doctor gave me a 10% chance of surviving," he told Arutz Sheva at the time.
Pavlovsky is in Israel on his own, without his parents who live in Ukraine, and he was attacked just before announcing his engagement.
Undeterred by his wounds, 20 days after the attack Pavlovsky celebrated his engagement to a 21-year-old American woman named Katya.
