Kiryat Arba Synagogue Demolished Yet Again

Security forces, on orders of the Civil Administration, once again demolished on Sunday morning the Hazon David synagogue, located near Kiryat Arba in Judea.

Hazon David was built in 2001, in memory of David Hacohen and Chezi Muallem, who were shot dead by terrorists near the entrance to Kiryat Arba.

Right-wing activist Itamar Ben-Gvir denounced the demolition, accusing the Hevron Brigade commander of "inciting the area and behaving like a bull in a china shop."

"Every stone thrown is the result of his irresponsible conduct," Ben-Gvir continued. "Around the synagogue are dozens of illegal Arab buildings, but the commander doesn't touch them, which only increases the anger of residents."

Hazon David, which has been declared by the government as an illegal outpost, has been destroyed by security forces and rebuilt by community members as many as 33 times, most recently in mid-April.

Synagogue worshippers will likely rebuild Hazon David this time as well.
