Legendary Israeli journalist Moti Kirschenbaum died Friday morning after suffering a massive heart attack at his coastal home in Mikhmoret, located in central Israel, one day after his 76th birthday.
Kirschenbaum is survived by his wife Chani and his four children.
Kirshenbaum became a household name in Israel after a long and expansive career. Working in both television and radio, Kirschenbaum won numerous awards including the "Israel Prize" in 1976. The "Israel Prize," awarded on Independence day, is regarded as the state’s highest honor.
