Likud’s Latest Election Clip: Left Will Give in to Islamic State

Likud intensified its campaign strategy against left-wing opponents Saturday night with a clip depicting the Left allowing Islamic State terrorists to enter Israel.

The video shows actors dressed as ISIS fighters holding ISIS flags and driving in a pick-up truck en route to Jerusalem. ISIS terrorists stop a car on the way and ask for directions in Hebrew. The driver responds that they should "turn left."

"The Left will give in to terror," the clip explains.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu uploaded the video to his Facebook page, writing: "This time choose: Likud headed by Netanyahu or a weak and submissive leftist government with Tzipi [Livni] and Buji [Yitzhak Herzog]," Labor-Hatnua's leaders.

Former Shin Bet head Yuval Diskin, one of Netanyahu's harshest critics in recent years, immediately took to Facebook with an attack on the Prime Minister, blaming him for all of Israel's security woes.

"The Left will bring ISIS into Israel, Netanyahu said. The same man who liberated Ahmed Yassin in 1997 and rebuilt Hamas. The man who freed over a thousand terrorists, some of whom have already returned to carrying out terror attacks during his tenure as prime minister. The man who freed terrorists so as to not freeze settlements in a deal with Jewish Home. The man who dragged [Israel] into the longest war since the War of Independence against a terrorist organization. The man who threatened Iran but can't subdue a terror organization in Gaza," Diskin listed.

"He's lost his shame; that's certain," he concluded.

Likud members were quick to respond, attacking Diskin, and his political opinions, in return.

"Leftist Yuval Diskin, who called in 2013 to divide Jerusalem, establish a Palestinian state along the 1967 borders, and partially accept the right of return for Palestinians – he will bring disaster [to Israel]."

"Netanyahu will continue to stand firmly and decisively against all pressure, will not give up or give in, and will continue to maintain the security of all Israeli citizens," Likud stressed.

For its part, Labor-Hatnua, running under the name the "Zionist Camp," also attacked Netanyahu for the clip.

"Netanyahu is dreaming if he thinks we've forgotten his colossal failure in the field of security. He released over 1,000 prisoners with blood on their hands, strengthened Hamas, let Iran become a nuclear threshold state under his watch, and the personal security of Israelis is compromised daily."

"There are films in which there is no reason to make a sequel. Netanyahu's terms is certainly a good example of that."
