Live: ‘Jerusalem Day’ march through Old City’s Muslim Quarter sets off

The annual and frequently controversial Jerusalem March was set to get underway Sunday afternoon in celebration of the capture of the Old City of Jerusalem and the eastern half of the city during the Six Day War in 1967.

Participants, who are overwhelmingly from the national-religious community, were slated to gather at IDF Square outside the Old City at 6:30 p.m. and proceed down to Damascus Gate at the northern end of the Old City, marching from there through the Muslim Quarter and towards the Western Wall Plaza where live music and dancing will be staged.
