Mac TA dominated at home by Dynamo

Maccabi Tel Aviv experienced another humbling night in the Champions League group stage on Tuesday, remaining without a point or a goal following a 2-0 defeat to Dynamo Kiev at Haifa Stadium.

Maccabi was outplayed in a 4-0 defeat to Chelsea in London in its group stage opener two weeks ago, but was still confident of getting off the mark against Kiev, which was considered to be the weakest of Tel Aviv’s opponents in a group which also includes Porto.

However, even the third-best team in Group G was far superior to the threetime reigning Israeli champion on Tuesday, scoring after three minutes through Andriy Yarmolenko and all but securing the victory five minutes into the second half following Junior Moraes’s goal.
