Majority of Israel’s poor: State doesn’t care about us

The vast majority of the poor population in Israel, some 87% believes that the State "does not care" about them, according to survey released Wednesday by The International Fellowship of Christians and Jews (IFCJ).

“Poverty is not just a matter of values, but a real threat to the resilience of Israeli society and its ability to sustain a functioning and solidary future society,” said Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein, founder and president of The International Fellowship of Christians and Jews.
