Meretz MK votes for Yehuda Glick in Knesset

The Knesset Law Committee voted unanimously Tuesday for an amendment that would allow three ministers in Likud to quit the Knesset and return if they leave the cabinet.

The bill, if passed into law Wednesday, would result in three new MKs in Likud: Canadian-born, Australian-educated Sharren Haskel, gay activist Amir Ohana, and Temple Mount activist Yehuda Glick, who was born in the United States.

The amendment was supported by left-wing MKs, including Michal Rosin of Meretz and Yael German from Yesh Atid, who wanted to embarrass Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, who opposed the bill.
