Negev: Kidnappers held man for 230k ransom, threatened to dump him in Egypt

Kidnappers held a Segev Shalom man for four days in June, demanding his family hand over NIS 230,000 or they would dump him in Egypt and no one would ever hear from him again, Negev police said Wednesday, as the state prepared to indict the two suspects in the kidnapping.

The case was under a gag order until Wednesday, when police reported that on June 24th they received a call from a man saying his brother had been kidnapped and that the men holding him were asking for NIS 230,000 and threatening that if the family doesn’t pay, they’ll hand him over to associates in Egypt and he would disappear.
