Netanyahu at opening Knesset session: More needs to be done to fight racism in Israel

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke at the opening day of the Knesset on Monday in honor of Herzl Day, a day that remembers Theodor Herzl, the founding father of Zionism. He discussed the recent anti-racist protests by the Ethiopian community and declared that it is an issue that must be resolved.

"Ethiopian Jews began a journey by foot to Zion years before Herzl wrote of a Jewish state,"said Netanyahu. He emphasized that "Israel guarantees equality to all citizens regardless of religion, skin color or gender."

Netanyahu said that an Ethiopian mother told him her kids feel trapped because of their skin color.
