Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu fired back on Wednesday after the EU decided to label Jewish products from the Golan Heights, eastern Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria.
"The decision of the European Union is hypocrisy and double standards, and only deals with Israel but not the 200 other conflicts around the world," Netanyahu said in statements from Washington before a visit with US Secretary of State John Kerry.
The prime minister stated that the unilateral nature of the EU's moves against Israel will not be tolerated.
"The European Union decided only to label Israel, and is not ready to accept the fact that Europe labels the side that is attacked in acts of terror."
Netanyahu noted that "the Israeli economy is strong and will stand, those who will be harmed will precisely be the Palestinians that work in Israeli factories."
"The European Union should be ashamed."
