Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday reiterated his condemnation of the terror bombing in Istanbul the previous day, which claimed the lives of three Israelis and left 11 wounded. “Terrorism sows death around the world. Israel is at the forefront of the fight against global terrorism,” Netanyahu said at the start of the weekly cabinet meeting. “This struggle is first of all military, but no less is it a moral struggle. The key to the moral fight against terrorism is to make it
clear that terrorism, the murder of innocents, has no justification anywhere – not in Istanbul or the Ivory Coast or Jerusalem,” he added. The prime minister sent his condolences to the families of the victims, and wished for recovery to the wounded. He also praised the Foreign Ministry personnel who have been leading the operation to return the wounded and victims to Israel. “The Foreign Ministry personnel for their dedicated and professional work in both Istanbul and Jerusalem,” he said.
