Netanyahu, Kerry spar over whether Iran nuclear deal good for Israel

The sharp rhetorical ping pong between Jerusalem and Washington over the Iran nuclear deal continues, as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the Lausanne framework endangers Israel, while US Secretary of State John Kerry countered in a weekend interview that the deal will “protect Israel.”

Netanyahu, in a recorded message Thursday night to the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, challenged those saying the framework nuclear deal agreed upon at Lausanne in March, and whose details are being fleshed out, will make Israel safer.

“As the prime minister of Israel, I can tell you categorically this deal will endanger Israel – big time,” he said.
