Netanyahu: Speech at congress not political, it’s existential

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke at a Likud election event Monday night, where  he discussed his upcoming controversial trip to speak at the US Congress.

"At the time that there are those who are dealing with protocol or politics, there is a bad deal developing in Munich with Iran that will endanger the existence of Israel. It is my obligation to do everything I can in order to prevent it," said the prime minister.

"Therefore, I am determined to travel to Washington to represent the position of Israel before the members of Congress and the American people. This is not a political issue; it’s an existential issue. That is how I see it," he said.
