Speaking at the opening of today's (Sunday) Cabinet meeting, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu outlined government and security force plans for countering the recent wave of terror and preventing further attacks.
"We're in the midst of a continuous battle against terror – and there have been ups and downs. We're employing many diverse measures including harsh measures we haven't taken in the past.
"These measures include: The military surrounding of the whole Hevron area, with an estimated population of 700,000; the revoking of all work permits for residents of the village of Bani Naim, home of six of the terrorists; two additional battalions operating on the roads; and a automatic interrogation of all family members of terrorists and their arrest in accordance with any involvement.
"We're making a special effort to strengthen the towns, we will bring up a special plan for Kiryat Arba in the next Cabinet meeting and I have directed the ministers to pool all resources to help the towns of Judea and Samaria.
We're giving the IDF, the Shin Bet, and all other security forces our full backing."
