Obama cites ‘great urgency’ to end terrorism

There’s “great urgency” to end the scourge of terrorism following attacks in Paris and Brussels, US President Barack Obama said Thursday during a meeting with French President Francois Hollande on the sidelines of a nuclear security summit Obama said the US and its coalition partners have seen progress in rolling back the Islamic State group’s control of territory. He’s also pointing to progress in forming a new government in Libya. Hollande said both countries must do “everything” to ensure stability in Libya.
