Oren: Obama’s abandonment by Muslim father figures may explain policies

In an op-ed for Foreign Policy magazine, former Israeli ambassador to the US Michael Oren doubled down on his critique of US President Barack Obama, questioning whether Obama would be remembered for his "good intentions," or if historians would "fault him for being naive and detached from a complex and increasingly lethal reality" unfolding in the Middle East.

Oren, Israel’s former ambassador to the US, had already offered scathing reflections on the US president’s ties to Israel in a Wall Street Journal piece titled "How Obama Abandoned Israel," but this time mapped what he calls Obama’s "worldview" regarding the Muslim World.
