PA minister’s car is hijacked, presumably in retaliation to arrests

On Tuesday, armed Palestinians overtook the vehicle of PA Minister of Social Affairs Ibrahim Shaer near the Qalandia Refugee Camp. The armed men removed the minister and his driver from the car, threatening them with weapons, and then proceeded to steal the vehicle.

Though the motive for the incident is yet unclear, a likely possibility is that it was carried out in retaliation to the arrests of four residents of the refugee camp over the last few days.
