PMO incensed at SodaStream CEO’s blame over lapsed Palestinian work permits

The Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement is responsible for 74 Palestinian workers losing their job at SodaStream, not the Israeli government, an official in the Prime Minister’s Office said Thursday, angered that the company’s CEO is blaming Israel for the plight of the workers.

Some 74 Palestinian workers who moved with the company to Lehavim in the Negev from Mishor Adumim beyond the Green Line last autumn following intensive BDS pressure against the company, lost their jobs this week when the government did not renew their permits.
