Israel National Police Chief Yochanan Danino on Wednesday announced the termination of two high-ranking police officers who have been at the center of sexual misconduct investigations in recent weeks.
In a statement sent out on Wednesday, police said that Danino had terminated Coastal District head, Asst.-Ch. Hagai Dotan and Beersheba police station commander Moshe Ivgy, after reviewing findings of the Justice Ministry probes against them. Both of the
terminations must gain the approval of the Public Security Minister to become final.
Dotan has been accused of sexually harassing female officers under his command, while Ivgy is the subject of a complaint that he sexually harassed a pregnant woman.
