President Rivlin cuts US trip short after Hezbollah attack in northern Israel

President Reuven Rivlin decided Wednesday to shorten his US visit following the events at Mount Dov in northern Israel which resulted in the death of two IDF soldiers. He will return to Israel immediatly after his speech at the UN General Assembly in honor of International Holocaust Remembrance Day.

“The role of the president is to visit the wounded and the bereaved families of such events,” said Rivlin.
