Prominent environmental activist Yael Cohen-Paran joins Zionist Camp

Yael Cohen-Paran, one of the prominent environmental activists in Israel, will be placed in one of the spots on the Zionist Camp’s list reserved for Tzipi Livni’s selections, it was announced on Sunday. Cohen-Paran, the founding and current CEO of the Israel Energy Forum and previously the head of Megama Yeruka, an environmental activism organization, was one of the leading opponents of the Trans-Israel Highway (Highway 6). She tried to run for Knesset in the 2009 and 2013 elections with The Green Movement, but the party failed to pass the threshold both times.
